Growing calls for innovative solutions to digital transformation challenges have prompted Birmingham based IT specialist, Jumar, to create a new business to keep up with demand.
Founded in 1999, Jumar has helped organisations throughout the UK and across 5 continents with an array of technology projects and recruitment services. Projects have included digitalisation programmes for major household names to providing teams of resources to clients in a number of verticals including insurance, finance, utilities and public sector, amongst others.
However, this rise in demand for disruptive technologies and more ‘intelligent’ use of IT teams and resources, has led Jumar to undertake an ambitious reorganisation to allow it to thrive in this complex, evolving marketplace.
It has created a new business – Jumar Technology – which will concentrate on providing solutions to support businesses along their transformation journey. Specialisms include modernising legacy technology, optimising operations with managed services or the implementation of best-of-breed and new emerging technologies.
This will enable Jumar Solutions, now solely concentrating on the delivery of high-quality IT resources, to continue expanding its network of Associates and Contractors. This is underpinned by a growing, dynamic recruitment team committed to sourcing the best talent for its clients.
The two companies – Jumar Technology Limited and Jumar Solutions Limited – will remain part of the ‘Jumar family’ under the common ownership of Jumar Holdings Limited.
The news follows the announcement in 2018 that a minority stakeholding in Jumar Holdings had been acquired by longstanding customer, and global marine insurer, The Shipowners’ Club.
The 33% acquisition came in recognition of the successful partnership between Shipowners and Jumar, which has transformed the insurer’s end-to-end policy management system and provided it with digital enablement services to further advance its position as a leading global underwriter.
“This is a hugely exciting time for the company, as it will give us the opportunity to grow in a number of directions, and to invest in our delivery practices like never before.
Jumar Technology aspires to be the leading technology transformation specialist, and Jumar Solutions will continue to build on its heritage as a highly respected technological recruitment provider.
Both businesses will remain under the banner of ‘the Jumar family’, and our values surrounding People, Pride, Empathy and Honesty remain as important as they ever have.”
Jumar’s Chief Executive Officer, Wendy Merricks
The new company – Jumar Technology – was launched on 1st May 2019 from the company’s headquarters in Solihull. Jumar also has an office in Manchester and an Australian subsidiary providing niche IT resources to public sector organisations.
