Gareth joined us in April 2017 with no IT Recruitment experience. He started in a brand-new role as Candidate Liaison Consultant where he built up his knowledge.
Gaz is now building his career as a Resourcer, and is one of our top performers, having recently won the Jumar World Cup 2018.
How have you been supported by Jumar?
I have had monthly 1-2-1’s with my Manager and Team Leader since I started, which has really helped to keep me focussed and given me clear goals for promotion.
I’ve also had role-specific training in Advert Writing, Objection Handling and Sales Training to ensure that I’m the most effective recruiter I can be. Because of this, I’ve been promoted and have made some really great placements!

What have you enjoyed the most about working for Jumar?
I really love the people and culture at Jumar. I always feel appreciated for my efforts, which is a new experience for me!
As long as you’re putting in the effort, you are recognised – even if the results don’t always go your way.
How would you describe the Jumar culture?
I’d say that Jumar employees aren’t considered to be just “numbers” – everyone is encouraged to be themselves. Personal milestones are also celebrated. Since I’ve been at Jumar I’ve got married and had a significant birthday, and these events were celebrated by the whole company. It’s those little touches that make work more than just a place I have to go!
