Role purpose

The Technical Support Analyst role would sit within our Digital Support function but also liaise closely with the Development and Architecture Teams in resolution of deployment and infrastructure issues. This role will also provide consultancy to the external and internal customers to support the resolution of infrastructure and deployment related issues. Responsibilities include;

    • Work with Support, Product and Implementation Teams to resolve issues raised by the client
    • Be proactive in looking ahead to potential areas of support in a hosted environment.
    • Using the product installation guides, install in house products into the required customer infrastructure and research and resolve any issues that may arise
    • Research and anticipate customer requirements to support the future proofing of infrastructure across public and private cloud solutions
    • Work alongside in-flight Projects to support infrastructure design and associated operating procedures

Qualifications / Experience

    • Strong Technical support experience within the software and business applications area
    • Experience of configuring multi-tiered web deployment on Windows operating systems and Microsoft SQL Server
    • Technical experience of supporting externally hosted servers via hosting partners or cloud solutions
    • In depth knowledge with regards to Windows based application/web server and database server build and configuration including load balancing and firewalls
    • Experience of working with external customers/users and 3rd party suppliers
    • Understanding of IIS, Load Balancing and Clustering
    • Installing and configuring hardware, operating systems and applications
    • A good understanding of networking
    • Monitoring web based systems
    • Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
    • Experience of Microsoft Azure including IaaS and PaaS solutions
