Capgemini’s size and need for agility often requires the provision of resources at short notice, or with specialist skills aligned to a particular project. To satisfy the need for Java developers with a specialism in the legacy technology CA Gen, Jumar proposed a combination of three of its innovative resourcing solutions.
The client had recently evolved its technology operating model and had created a Digital Services Team. As part of this evolution, the client required a Head of Digital Strategy and Planning. This represented a sensitive and key hire which needed to be treated confidentially.
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) had a requirement for an SC cleared Interim Incident Manager to join the team to fill an existing skills gap. Due to the nature and urgency of the requirement, the SIA required a route to market that would enable them to bring someone on board in short timescales.
The primary recruitment challenge facing Legal Logic Systems is that there is a great deal of competition for developers with the specific skills they require. These ‘hard-to-find’ roles posed particular difficulties for generalist IT recruiters, who don’t have the breadth of network that Jumar has built up over many years. Recruiting IT staff into a legal environment often proves difficult, and requires additional activity on the part of recruiters to communicate the advantages of the industry and the client’s strategic plans to the candidate pool.
