EAGER TO LEARN AND ADAPT

Graduates are often keen to take on projects that are outside of their remit and therefore allow you to achieve specific business challenges. Their eagerness to learn means that you can teach them tasks so that more costly resources are freed up. Everyone graduating this year has probably been surrounded by technology their whole lives and will be rapid-learners; they’re unlikely to be afraid of unfamiliar systems and applications as they’ve experienced innovation throughout their childhood.

NO BAD HABITS

When you take on experienced employees, you gain their expertise but you may also gain their idiosyncrasies and bad habits. Graduates, naturally, haven’t picked up these behaviours so you don’t need to spend time ironing them out.

FRESH WITH THE LATEST KNOWLEDGE

They may need some time to learn to use their knowledge in practice, but they are a great source of new ideas and can inject concepts and apply current thinking from their studies.

REALISTIC SALARY EXPECTATIONS

If you hire a graduate, they’re unlikely to have high salary expectations as their experience is low, but they have huge potential.

INCREASED COMPETITION WITHIN THE TEAM

Enthusiasm is infectious. A new, young person joining the team with a bag of tricks and ideas will encourage your other employees to show their strengths and remind them to continue their development in order to stay ahead. Competition is proven to increase efficiency and productivity in the workplace.
